On this project I joined the vfx-team as a 3D-modeler. My task was to model the spacestation (excluding sail and capsule at the bottom). The basic shape was already given by production design, so I started with creating modules which could then be placed all over the model. In parallel, a team of production designers built a part of the spaceship in real so I could adapt my work immediately to match the set. The modular modelling allowed me to complete the model within four days.
Also a big shoutout to Denis Krez, who rendered and composited the model and made blend seamlessly with the real set.
